Transformation Digitale : Booster le Transport National Terrestre avec l'Intelligence Artificielle

Transformation driven by the Fourth Industrial Revolution

Digitalization has disrupted all aspects of our lives, including industrial services. In this era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, logistics and distribution are not left behind. The arrival of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been a crucial catalyst in this transformation of thesupply chain.

AI has revolutionized the logistics industry, significantly improving the cost-quality ratio of services. Thanks to AI's ability to understand, learn, and act like humans, logistics operations have been considerably optimized.

This advance has been made possible thanks to parallel technological developments, such as machine learning, Big Data analysis, and computing power. These technologies have allowed the implementation of intelligent systems in various areas of logistics, from unit monitoring to the management ofwarehousesefficient and agile e-commerce in national land transport.

Challenges and opportunities on the horizon of intelligent logistics

Precise planning of deliveries and error-free routes has led to an increase in the efficiency of logistics processes. AI's predictive capacity has allowed companies to anticipate future demand, thus optimizing inventory levels and reducing operating costs.

AI has also transformed warehouse operations, enabling intelligent systems that adapt to new circumstances and optimize operations throughout the supply chain.

In the context of national land transport, the integration of information and AI algorithms allows logistics agencies to formulate intelligent assessments of optimal routes andtrade codesof each country. This optimization not only reduces costs and improves delivery estimates, but also boosts the overall efficiency of transport and logistics.

Despite these advances, there are challenges to overcome, such as the adoption of technologies by some companies and the need to overcome barriers such as cost and lack of internal expertise. However, it is clear that artificial intelligence is transforming the landscape of national land transport and logistics, opening up new opportunities for efficiency and sustainability in the future.

Furthermore, the results of a recent survey conducted by HERE Technologies show that many companies have not yet adopted basic data analysis and artificial intelligence software, which could limit their ability to set climate goals or make progress in sustainability. According to the professionals surveyed in the field of transport and logistics, 50% of companies use basic data analysis in their operations, while 25% use artificial intelligence capabilities.

The survey also revealed that 33% of companies completely lack sustainability goals, while 27% are in the process of developing such goals. Sustainability was ranked as the least important consideration in terms of logistics and supply chain management.

However, the potential of technology to improve sustainability practices is highlighted, with AI and data management playing a key role in optimizing the supply chain and reducing emissions.

Towards more efficient and sustainable land transport: challenges and solutions

These findings underscore the importance of digital transformation in the national land transport and logistics sector, not only to improve operational efficiency, but also to address environmental challenges and move towards more sustainable practices.

AI is transforming warehouse operations by enabling intelligent storage systems. These systems take advantage of tools such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and cloud computing to recognize patterns, adapt to new circumstances, and optimize operations throughout the supply chain.

The optimization of national land transport with Artificial Intelligence can in itself boost transport and logistics companies; this does not mean that the previous stages are unimportant, although the role of adequate transport route planning is even greater.

By integrating information from various sources and combining AI algorithms, logistics agencies can formulate intelligent assessments of optimal national land transport routes. Such optimization reduces transport costs, improves delivery time estimates, and increases overall efficiency.

For Mexico to remain at the forefront of this transformation, it is crucial that companies and the government adopt a proactive mindset towards the implementation of artificial intelligence technologies in the transport sector. This includes investments in research and development, as well as the training of professionals in the use of these technologies.
